For the first time since the pandemic began two years ago, Nacogdoches ISD’s annual job fair is back as an in-person event.
The job fair is set for 9 to 11 a.m. April 30 at the Malcolm Rector Center for Advanced Careers and Innovation located at Nacogdoches High School. The new facility can be accessed from Maroney Drive at the rear of the high school (the campus physical address is 4310 Appleby Sand Road in Nacogdoches).
At the job fair, prospective teachers, paraprofessionals and other campus instructional staff, and manual trades staff interested in working at NISD can visit with principals and directors, chat and interview about employment opportunities, and explore employee benefits of joining the district.
Applicants can pre register for the job fair by CLICKING HERE. Anyone with questions can call NISD’s Office of Human Resources at (936) 569-5000 and choose extension 8812 or 8834.
Prior to the job fair, prospective teachers can also APPLY for available openings (or go to NISD’s website at www.nacisd.org and select “employment” at the top of the home page).
Teachers can choose a specific category to apply in or submit a general application for elementary, middle school or high school openings.
A stipend of $4,000 is available to bilingual elementary teachers that are hired as well as stipends of $3,000 for secondary math and science teachers.
