Aurora Concepts will be available on Wednesday, Aug. 18, at McMichael Middle School and Mike Moses Middle School for vaccinations (NOT THE COVID VACCINE) that are required for school, as well as COVID-19 vaccines that are voluntary. The vaccines will be available when students are picking up schedules at Mike Moses and McMichael. The vaccines are available to all students (ages 12-and-up for the Pfizer COVID vaccine).
McMichael – 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 18.
Mike Moses – 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 18.
Students with health insurance should bring an insurance card. A staff member from Aurora will be able to verify their insurance coverage.
For students without health insurance, the cost is $10 per vaccine.
Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines will be available through the City of Nacogdoches during scheduled pick-up at both middle schools on Aug. 18. The Pfizer vaccine is approved for people ages 12 and older. This is a two-part vaccine series. Dose 1 will be available at the scheduled pick-up, and Dose 2 will be scheduled 21 days later. The vaccines are available to all students. A parent/guardian must provide consent for the COVID vaccination. There is no fee for the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.
