Nacogdoches High School alumna Kennedy Olson Beal is one of 20 graduates of the LSU Law Class of 2022 to be selected for induction into The Order of the Coif, the highest honor a law student can receive.
Beal is a 2015 graduate of Nacogdoches High School. She graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with double majors in chemistry and Spanish.
The LSU Law chapter of The Order of the Coif – an honorary scholastic society that encourages excellence in legal education – was established in 1942. Of the 200 American Bar Association accredited law schools, LSU Law is one of 86 with a chapter. Membership in the honorary law fraternity is limited to the top 10 percent of each graduating class.
Beal will be clerking in the United States Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana before moving to Dallas to join an intellectual property litigation group.
At LSU Beal served as managing editor of Volume 82 of the Louisiana Law Review.
