Nacogdoches High School DECA students Nicole Burrow and Katelyn Rocha earned places Monday at the career development center conference at Region 8 Education Service Center in Pittsburg.
Nicole earned honors for participation in Business Communications Services Series, and Katelyn was recognized for participation in Principles of Entrepreneurship Series. Both move on to compete in March at the DECA state conference in Dallas.
Joining Nicole and Katelyn in Pittsburg on Monday were teammates Brock Albert, Maelyn Kate Basa, Kris Basa, Katelyn Frost, Damien Masson, and Brehida Rushing.
DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in high school for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management.
