There are a number of Christmas fine arts performances coming up in the next two weeks as Nacogdoches ISD celebrates the holiday.
The Raguet Elementary choir marks the 80th anniversary of its appearance at Rotary Club of Nacogdoches at noon, Dec. 11, at the Fredonia Hotel & Convention Center. The Raguet choir has made this visit each year since December of 1944 – the pandemic interrupted the in-person appearance in 2020 but the choir recorded a presentation that was shown to club members.
Also on Dec. 11, the Raguet choir will make its annual visit to the NISD District Support Center for a 9 a.m. performance.
Other fine arts performances include:
The Nacogdoches High School Dragonettes will hold their Christmas Showcase, a Grinch-themed “Dragonettes Stole Christmas” at 6 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 12, and Friday, Dec. 13, at the NHS auditorium. Admission is $10 at the door.
The NISD band concert – which includes bands from McMichael Middle School and Nacogdoches High School – is set for 7 p.m., Monday, Dec. 16, in the competition gym.
The NISD choir concert is at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 17, at First United Methodist Church, 201 E Hospital St., in Nacogdoches.
