McMichael Middle School will be participating in this year's See You At The Pole event. “WHOLEHEARTED” (from Jeremiah 29:13) is the theme for See You at the Pole™ 2023, which is all about students praying at their schools. The event is planned for Wednesday, September 27, at McMichael Middle School. Students are encouraged to gather at our school flagpole and/or other community locations to pray. This means that, all around the world in every time zone, for 24 hours,
students will be praying for their school, friends, families, churches, and communities. SYATP brings students together to intercede for their leaders, schools, and
families, asking God to bring moral and spiritual awakening to their campuses and countries.
Our event will take place from 7:30am - 8:00am here at McMichael Middle School. Donuts will be provided for those in attendance. We hope to see you there; and bring a friend!
The McMichael Middle School 2023 Football Season kicks off tonight as the 8th Grade B Team travels to Tyler to take on the Moore Middle School Mustangs. Kickoff will be at 5:00 pm at Moore Middle School field. Let's wish our players good luck, and get this season started off right!
6th Grade Students:
Students in 6th grade will be picked up and dropped off at the back side of the school. Those cars will enter and exit the driveway on the north side of the campus.
7th and 8th Grade Students:
Students in 7th & 8th grade will be picked up and dropped off on the south side of the campus by the cafeteria
Siblings:
Students will be dismissed according to the youngest sibling’s grade. For example, if you have a 6th grade student and an 8th grade student, both of your students will be dismissed with 6th grade at the back side of the school.
In an effort to be more efficient with the start of our school year, we would like for all 7th and 8th grade boys who are participating in Athletics to come to McMichael Middle School's weight room to take their 1 rep max on bench press and squat. Our Boys Coaches will be available on Monday, August 14 and Tuesday, August 15 from 9am - 12pm to conduct this process. Our purpose for doing this is so that we can personalize our strength and conditioning program to each individual athlete based on their abilities. We also want to take these baseline scores to see how much growth we've made as the year goes on. The testing will only take 10-15 minutes per athlete, so you can wait while he tests. If you have to drop them off, please be back to pick them up by 12pm. If you have any questions contact Coach Willis at 936-552-0519 ex.4149.
