Nacogdoches High School automotive students medaled Feb. 15 at the SkillsUSA auto tech contest in Beaumont.
Angel Garcia-Trejo won a silver medal in automotive service, Christian Cobos-Robles received silver in automotive maintenance and light repair, and Joshua Knepp took bronze in automotive and light repair.
Christian Cobo-Robles, Joshua Knepp, Juan Hererra, Andres Mejia, Alfredo Alvarez also placed in tool identification and are advancing to state competition.
The skills portion of the auto tech competition is a series of stations with various engine components with instructions for the task to be completed. The other portion of the competition includes a written exam.
