Nacogdoches High School’s Health Science Practicum class on Thursday held the first of three blood drives for the Blood Center of East Texas.
On Thursday, the drive resulted in 24 whole blood donations, exceeding the goal that was set. Additionally, there were donations of double red cells and plasma.
When the practicum class reaches its goal for the three drives, the Blood Center will make a donation that will be used to purchase gifts and gift cards for Project Graduation.
Two more drives are planned for Jan. 11, 2024, and May 8, 2024.
