On Saturday evening, July 22, crews installing new artificial turf at Dragon Stadium will begin working overnight to escape the worst of the summertime heat.
That means lights at the stadium will remain on while crews are working between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. The night time work schedule will carry on most likely through the end of next week.
In May, the eight-year-old artificial turf field at the stadium was damaged by heavy rains that caused flooding in Nacogdoches.
Hellas Construction first repaired damage to the base of the field and is now installing a new artificial turf surface.
