NISD is offering stipends of $3,000 and $4,000 for teachers in critical areas of need for the upcoming school year.
Secondary (grades 6-12) math, science teachers and English/language arts teachers will receive a $3,000 stipend for the 2023-24 academic year.
Bilingual elementary teachers and deaf/hard-of-hearing teachers will receive a $4,000 stipend for eligible staff.
The stipends were approved by the NISD Board of Trustees in May when the compensation package was adopted for the next fiscal year.
