Student Ridership & Routing

Bus registration

Registration opens Monday July 15th, 2024:

  • Students must be registered annually for bus service. Students who are not registered for bus service will not be scheduled on a route.

  • Bus Rider Registration - Bus routes and schedules are based upon students who are registered for service, so there may be up to a 5-day waiting period after services are requested before service may begin.

  • Friday, August 2nd 2024 is the “pause” date of when our department will pause accepting new registration forms for routing to ensure those who have submitted registration be guaranteed ridership for the first week of school. Any registration submitted after August 2nd ridership will be delayed. This delay will not see scheduled ridership until Monday, August 26th 2024, or later depending on when registration was submitted. It is imperative parents register within this timeframe so that we could better assist them.

Scheduled Riders

  • Guardians will know once their child is registered because they will be able to view bus service logistics, such as pick-up time and locations in SmartTag.

Young riders

  • This is a reminder that students riding the bus and attending Pre-K through second grade are required to have a parent or guardian meet the student at the afternoon drop-off location.

Service Address:

  • Students will only be scheduled to receive transportation service to/from one address.

  • The student’s residence address will be the default service address.

  • Students' bus assignments and stop locations must be the same both AM and PM and consistent each day of the week.

  • Students will not be permitted to have a schedule that alternates between two residences in the case of shared custody.

Student Alternative Address/After School Care:

  • Students' bus assignments and stop locations must be the same both AM and PM and consistent each day of the week.

  • To request an alternate service address, the parent or guardian must submit the affidavit from the campus to the Transportation Department to complete this request. Parents must also bring their ID.

    • Grandparent/Guardian must be located within the attendance boundary for the student’s campus and be located at an existing stop on an existing route.

  • Boys and Girls Club (BGC)

    • Will not take effect until BGC opens, once BGC opens it will be the parents responsibility to report to campus by 12pm where their child needs to be transported.
