District At-Large
Pam Fitch is a long-time resident of Nacogdoches, a parent and a local business owner. She has been active in public schools for more than 15 years, volunteering with school PTAs, music programs, sports activities, dance teams, booster clubs, and most recently as a member of the Nacogdoches ISD School Board.
Pam and her husband, Alan, were married in 1992. Their daughter, Reagan, graduated from Nacogdoches High School in 2016 and is currently in her junior year at California State University seeking a Bachelor of Science Degree in English.
Pam’s desire to ensure that every child in Nacogdoches—regardless of where they live, how they’re raised or the income level of their family—receives a first-class education is what led Pam to run for school board. She believes that a strong public-school system is the most important job of local government and believes in putting students first in every decision that is made while being accountable to the citizens who entrust the school district with both their tax dollars and their children.
Pam is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University and has actively served the community for more than 20 years. She has served on numerous boards and organizations, including the Governor’s Tourism Advisory Committee, Nacogdoches Planning and Zoning Board, Nacogdoches Junior Forum, Fredonia Rotary, and United Way, to name a few.

Focus as a board member:
Communication and service are important to me. My wife, Alicia, and I volunteered to teach in the Dominican Republic. This changed so much in us and for us and led me to train and serve in medicine for more than 30 years. Volunteering in our schools is transforming to individuals and to the schools. I have volunteered at Emeline Carpenter Elementary School to do many tasks that assist the school and teachers. I have done volunteer tutoring of ELL students and that has changed me and given me new insights.
Would you consider volunteering? Reading is a passion, too. How about reading with someone today in your home or at a school?
