NISD hosting digital learning conference

Teachers and administrators from Nacogdoches ISD and around East Texas will “Rock Your Tech” Feb. 22 at Thomas J. Rusk Elementary.

The digital learning conference is a chance to participate in a full day of free sessions to learn how to use technology in classrooms.

NISD staff presenting sessions during the conference include: Kristina Shepherd, Makenzie Fountain, Stephanie Harrison, Sarah Swanzy, John Thompson, Michael Moore, Keirsten Morris, Tammy McDonald, Brooke Sugden and Courtni Jackson.

Other presenters will be on hand from Pineywoods Community Academy, Lufkin ISD and Center ISD. Also, Stephen F. Austin State University professor Dr. Lauren Burrow will have a session.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for teachers to get together and talk about how we can use technology in our classrooms,” said Morris, NISD’s Coordinator of Digital Learning. “We’ll hear presentations from our peers, and it will be a chance to learn something new as well as reaffirm what you already might be doing.”

The conference will take place at NISD’s Thomas J. Rusk Elementary 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22. To register, visit https://sites.google.com/nhsdragons.org/digitallearningconference/home or email Morris at kmorris@nacisd.org.
