Dragons set to host first home football game

Football tickets for Nacogdoches High School varsity football games will be sold at 50 percent of stadium capacity for this week’s District 9-5A opener. The Dragons host Whitehouse High School at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 23. All tickets will be sold through online ticketing provided by HomeTown Ticketing. The link can be found on the NISD Website. No tickets will be sold at the gate on Friday night.

There are no reserved season tickets sold this year, but season ticket holders and parents of performers (varsity football, band, drill, cheer, ROTC) will have an exclusive opportunity to purchase up to four tickets in Sections B1-B3 or general admission prior to sales opening to the public.

General Reserved Tickets for Sections B1, B2, and B3 will go on sale at 7 a.m. Tuesday through 7 a.m. Thursday. All remaining seating in these sections will become available for sale, along with General Admission tickets, beginning at 7 a.m. Thursday.

Home General Admission tickets can be purchased from 7 a.m. Tuesday through 7:30 p.m. on Friday (game time). There will be no tickets available at the gate on game night.

All tickets – student and adult – for District 9-5A games will be $6.

Once the allotted number of tickets have been sold for a game, there will be no more tickets available.

NO PASSES will be accepted at the gate for varsity football games. Faculty and staff must purchase a ticket – ID badges will not be accepted for entry due to capacity challenges. 

Participating and performing students (in uniform) will not need a ticket. All school-age children and adults must have a ticket to enter the stadium, and there will be no exit and re-entry allowed – tickets will only be valid for one entrance into the game.



Available tickets for purchase: General Reserved (Sections B1, B2, and B3).
A promo code will be distributed to Performer Parents by their Directors. Season Ticket Holders can email or call the Athletic Office to receive their promo code. These promo codes must be used when purchasing tickets for these sections prior to Thursday. Seating in these sections will be general admission and distancing regulations must be followed.

At 50 percent capacity, there are 1,274 tickets available on the home side. The Dragon Drill Team and Band, as they will occupy Sections H, I, and J on the south end of the visitor side. Visitors are allotted 720 tickets in Sections D, E, and F on the visitors side. Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. Once the allotted number of tickets have been sold, there will be no other tickets available.

In the stadium, family members may sit together but will be responsible for maintaining safe distances from other patrons (at least six feet). All attendees will be screened for temperature before entering the stadium and must wear face coverings at all times, unless eating or drinking.

Concession stands will be open, but the menu will be limited and will offer only prepackaged items. Patrons will be required to maintain safe distances while in line and must wear face coverings at all times. Restrooms will be limited to no more than five people at one time.

Games will be live streamed, and a link will be provided on the Athletics page on the NISD website.
