James H. Montoya, LBSW
James has a B.S. from Eastern New Mexico University. He is dually licensed at the bachelor's level in New Mexico and Texas. James has over thirty years experience as a social worker. He has worked with Child Protective Services, Children's Medical services, Long Term Care Facilities, drug and alcohol groups, and the mentally challenged. He also has experience in supervision, training, administration, and surveying. James has been employed with NISD as a bilingual social worker since December of 2000. He has worked with students, parents, and every school in the district. He asassisted with Noche de Familia
since its inception and in 2002, James began hosting
La Conexion Hispana
, a NISD TV Production. In 2008, James was honored as Texas School Social Worker of the Year. Schools assigned to James for the 2009-2010 school year are: Nettie Marshall, Raguet, TJR, and Mike Moses.

Ruby Ramón, LMSW
Originally from Laredo in Southwest Texas, Ruby came to Nacogdoches to complete her education, and has since made Nacogdoches her home. She obtained bachelors degrees in psychology and social work from SFA in 2006. Ruby graduated with the distinction of highest ranking Master Social Work student from SFA in 2007. Her social work career began as a Social Services Director at a local nursing and rehabilitation center. Ruby has a lifetime passion for education and a desire to make the educational path a successful and obstacle free one for every student. So when the opportunity to work for the school district came knocking, Ruby jumped on it. She worked with middle school students at McMichael last school year. This year, Ruby is providing social work services to the Martin Center, NHS, and to pregnancy and parenting students. She is also working with Noche de Familia and provides parent training classes to parents with students attending the Martin Center.

David Espinosa, LMSW
David is glad to be back in East Texas. He was born in Lufkin and raised in Garland, TX but visited nearly every summer with family. David graduated with his Bachelors (06) and Masters in Social Work (08) from SFA and moved back to Garland. He was employed with Communities in Schools where he worked with junior and senior students. David especially enjoyed working with undocumented individuals who had lost or never developed aspirations of attending college because of too many roadblocks. David hopes to continue to instill hope for a future in all the children that come in contact with him at Nacogdoches ISD. Schools assigned to David for the 2009-2010 school year are: BQJ, Carpenter, Fredonia, and McMichael. In addition, David is working at Noche de Familia (Family Night).
